A social networking site such as facebook, people are able to stay in contact with friends from all over the world at anytime and anywhere but it can also be a deadly one.
A site where people are not only able to find more friends from other countries but also to show their “private” lifes through personal infomation, photos and videos.
When people posts such form of communicative tools it can expose them to a certain degree of danger as other people are able to find actions or infomations that could harm the person in ways such as spreading rumours. or even worst to cyber bully where all bullying is done via technology such as msn facebook emails etc.
Having internet is a great form of communication where people from anywhere in the world will able to gain access to infomation which may not be spread in their own country but infomation sent may not nescessary be the right information such as the rise of pronography in the past it may be a personal indulgence but in the recent years poronography can be easily attained through websites and this has also lead to the rise of of crimes such as rape and molestation
internet is never safe thats for sure be it infomation wise or even when it comes to social networking .
Hello! I agree with you that the internet is not safe however, i think if with the right mindset and supervision(if needed) the internet is safe for use. And yes, communication tools such as facebook allows us to keep updated of friends who we rarely meet, such as old schoolmates, relatives, etc. As for the cyber bullying part, I would have to agree.

ya I thhink I heard about how privacy is an issue in facebook nowadays. Not sure what the details were, but I think some photos that are uploaded cannot be completely removed. Wow! Imagine if there was an ugly photo and one cannot remove it. Stays there for some time eh?

Hey dear,
I think that social networking through the internet is dangerous only if you make it so. For example, it isn’t going to be dangerous if the info you reveal online is extremely true–house address, phone numbers, credit cards, photos that you would not want to have online…
But i agree with you that because of sites which displays indecent photographs/images or unhealthy information, it encourages bad behaviour in social contexts and also induces trouble with the troubled, i.e. perverts, serial murderers etc.
The internet is just a platform for many things, how humans use and act according to their will is THE DANGEROUS THING!

We all know how dangerous the Internet and Facebook can potentially be, at the same time we have to remind ourselves that these things didn’t start out that way. These inventions and innovations were made for the betterment of mankind, irregardless of how big or small an impact they make, and dangers only arise due to those that choose to misuse these facilities. The adinistrators and consumers alike have to be vigilant of the potential dangers in order to still use these facilities safely.
